It seems that the only thing an event in Emmitsburg can compare to is another event in Emmitsburg. They are all wonderful but some just seem to have that something extra that sets them apart from everything else. One of these events was the evening of March 23, 2000. It was on this evening that for the 2nd time I was invited to lead a decade of the rosary and the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to Gianna during my decade. The first time was July 8, 1999. I had just completed the last Hail Mary of the 3rd decade of the Glorious Mysteries when Gianna bolted to her knees in ecstasy. She was about 10 feet in front of me so I just knelt down and prayed while I watched. I could tell by reading Gianna’s lips that they started out by praying a Glory Be To The Father. After that I lost track and was unable to continue to pray in unison with them. I was able to look directly into Gianna’s eyes the entire time. Her eyes were fixed on Mary. You could tell when Mary moved because Gianna’s eyes would follow Her. Gianna’s eyes actually seemed to take on a different physical appearance during the 6 to 8 minutes of the apparition. I will not try to describe what I felt during this time because I can’t. At the end I believe Mary left in a upward direction because that is the direction Gianna’s eyes followed Her. When it was over Gianna’s eyes seemed to return to a normal state. I stood back up and finished my decade with the Glory Be and returned to my seat.

Another parishioner from "Parish Church" who I have never mentioned by name had been given the 4th decade of the rosary. While this person led the rosary, Gianna wrote down the message The Blessed Virgin Mary had just given minutes ago. I had nothing to do with them being there that night but I did know they were coming and I did arrange through Shirley Dillion, the parish secretary for them to have a decade of the rosary that night. A family member of this person who also attended was gifted at the very instant the apparition started with a sure personal sign that The Blessed Virgin Mary was truly present. It was obvious to everyone who was in the church at the time. The details can only be revealed by this person should they ever decide to do so.

My dear little children, praise be Jesus!
Little ones, there is not just one event that will identify you as
a true child of God, because to be a true child of God is outlined in
your way of life. There is no quick remedy to change the effects of
history. The only authentic proof of being a child of God is in the
fruitful actions of love in your life. You cannot convince skeptics to
believe in your ways or that you are from heaven. The most profound
undeniable proof of being from heaven is portrayed in your continuity,
humility, simpleness, purity of heart and actions of love. It is
revealed in the way you live your daily gift of life.
The world today seeks a quick resolution to problems which took
generations to surface. Change takes time because it must first
commence with the change of heart. This is why I have urged you to
begin now and not delay any longer or wait until the end to act upon the
areas which are preventing you from being called a child of God. God
has given to you the signs and proof, but you fail to even recognize His
gift just as people failed to recognize Him as He walked on this earth.
Turn your attention to those who are not looking for power,
prestige, notoriety, fame, attention or material empires. Look at those
who live daily by serving others and who have continuity in their
actions of love and service. Look at the fruits which are ongoing.
Look at those people whose actions of littleness challenge you even if
those actions make you feel uncomfortable. Look at those people whose
ways are simple.
Look and you will find _here_ in this small town where I have come,
the center of My Immaculate Heart, authentic children of God. This is a
community which rises together in hardships and joins in helping one
another as recorded throughout history when sisterhood and brotherhood
laid the foundation of love. This community will continue to rise
together and assist in helping all the many people who will come to
this, My Center of My Immaculate Heart, because they are humble, simple,
loving children of God and their actions of love will embrace and heal
those seeking refuge.
I bless you, little children, with the peace of Jesus and I take
your petitions to Him. Thank you for your response to My call. AD
DEUM.

This past Sunday marked the 3rd anniversary of this day. I suddenly awoke in the middle of the night praying the Our Father and then I started reciting the above message that I have committed to memory. I was still half asleep. When I finished I looked over at the clock next to the bed but it was turned where I could not see it. I turned the clock towards me and the time was 5:33. I went back to sleep and when I woke up again the time was 7:13.

Later in the morning I drove to "Parish Church" to teach CCD and when I arrived the time was 9:33. We also had a RCIA event for the Candidates and the Elect at the 11 AM mass. I was scheduled to be the Eucharistic minister for this mass. When the mass was over I went to the Tabernacle to get the Host to take to Bob G, Mrs. Carta and Mrs. Corradi. When I opened the Tabernacle I was struck with a strong sense of peace. I glanced at my watch and the time was 12:13:33. Twenty minutes later I was struck with the same sense of peace and the desire to go to Emmitsburg for no other reason than to thank God for allowing me to witness what I witnessed three years ago. I looked at my watch and the time was 12:33:13.

I drove over to give the Eucharist to Bob G, when I finished there I went to see Agnes Corradi. I arrived at Our Father’s House and the odometer was 33. When I left there I drove to see Mary Ann Carta. Mrs. Carta was in bad shape and had just returned from the hospital after falling. When I left there, I started driving to Emmitsburg. I had just passed Thurmont, Maryland when I noticed the gas gauge was just about half way between 1/2 and 1/4 tank. I still had about 10 miles before arriving in Emmitsburg.

There have been 2 times since the truck was involved in an accident two years ago that the gauge was not accurate and ran out of gas. I took the truck to Country Chevrolet to get it fixed and they told me that everything was fine. I still never let the gas get to far down. I was not going to run the risk so I planned on stopping at the 7-11 that is about 7 or 8 miles this side of Emmitsburg and getting gas. Suddenly the truck started to sputter and it ran out of gas just as I was approaching the 7-11. With no engine power at all I coasted up to the gas pump. I filled up and the pump stopped on $22.33. I drove to St. Joseph’s and arrived at 5:13. The church was locked so I just sat in my truck and prayed the Glorious mysteries of the rosary and thanked God for everything. When I finished the rosary I looked at my watch and the time was 5:33:13.
