Holy Thursday

April 8, 2004

There was no mass this morning because of Holy Thursday. I went to work in "hometown". Throughout the day I had a empty feeling and I knew it was because I had not yet received Holy Communion. I knew we would be going to The Mass of the Last Supper tonight at 7 at "Parish Church". It made me realize even more how important receiving the Eucharist is to me, everyday. I know for sure that I could not go through what I am going through without receiving the Eucharist everyday.

I was fairly busy most of the morning at work. When I came to a good breaking point I had the sudden desire to go to lunch and pray the rosary. I looked up and the time on my computer was 11:33. I finished what I was doing and then glanced at my watch and it said XX:XX:33.

I got up to go to Our Lady of the Blue Ridge to pray the rosary. When I arrived I prayed both the Sorrowful and Glorious mysteries. When I finished I glanced at my watch as I genuflected to leave the pew and the time was 12:33. I glanced at my watch again as I walked out the door and the time was 12:33:59.

I drove back to work and got something to eat in the cafeteria. When I finished eating and was walking back to my desk I was struck with a very strong feeling of peace. It made me think of going to St. Joseph’s tonight to pray the rosary. I glanced at my watch and the time was 1:13.

Throughout the rest of the day I had several sudden thoughts of going to St. Joseph’s tonight after mass at "Parish Church". Each time one of these thought hit I glanced at my watch and it said XX:XX:13 or 33.

All of the Eucharistic Ministers at "Parish Church" were asked to be present for the Holy Thursday Mass of the Last Supper so when I got off work I went home and got ready for that. When we arrived at "Parish Church" I glanced at my watch just as the car came to a complete stop and it said XX:XX:33.

All of the Eucharistic Ministers lined up and at the very instant Fr. ___ signaled by raising his hand that we were ready to process in a sudden and very strong feeling of peace ran through me. I knew to glance at my watch and it said XX:XX:33.

Mass ended and was followed by a Eucharistic procession. We then had adoration. S.C.C. was still in the church and I walked back in and waited for her to finish the rosary she was praying. When she finished we got up to leave. As we were walking down the center isle of the church I was suddenly struck with the very unmistakable scent of roses. It hit me like a ton of bricks. It stopped me in my tracks. I glanced at my watch as I walked out the door and it said XX:XX:33.

I drove S.C.C. and C.R.C. to 7-11 to get something. We then drove home. I told S.C.C. what happened and told her I was going to pray the rosary at St. Joseph’s. I looked at my watch just as I walked out the front door and the time was 9:13.

I drove to St. Joseph’s and arrived at 11:33. I prayed the entire rosary and Chaplet of Divine Mercy and when I finished I walked over to the corner of the church and kissed it and said thank You. I glanced at my watch and the time was 12:33.

I drove home and became very tired and had to pull off the road and take a short nap. I then continued my drive home and pulled in my driveway at 3:03.
