First Friday

I have noticed over the years that there are certain days that the occurrences of sudden peace that comes out of nowhere in sync with an unexpected 13, 33 or 333 is stronger and more frequent than other days. This is usually on the 13th of any given month and on the 1st Friday of every month. Today was no exception.

I woke up this morning very early because I fell asleep very early yesterday evening. When I woke up I glanced over at the clock next to the bed and the time was 4:13. I got up and sat at the kitchen table and did my LMC study group homework. I then got ready for work and when I started my car to leave for Manassas the time on the dash was 6:13.

The commute to Manassas is not bad at all. I do not catch any rush hour traffic jams and it takes me about an hour and a half to get there. I arrived this morning and attended mass at All Saints before going across the street to work. Throughout the entire morning I was frequently hit with a sudden out of nowhere thought of Jesus or Mary and the desire to say a short prayer. Each time this happened I glanced at my watch and it would say XX:XX:13 or 33.

I was fairly busy at work most of the day. I got to a good breaking point and decided to take my lunch break and go back to All Saint’s to pray the rosary. I never looked at my watch until I arrived and walked in the chapel. The time was 1:33.

I prayed the Sorrowful mysteries of the rosary and when I finished I left to go back to work. I got in my car to leave and when I started the car the counter on the CD player flashed 13. I glanced at my watch and it said XX:XX:33. I drove back to work and just at the car came to a complete stop I glanced at my watch and it said XX:XX:33.

When I got off work I drove home and then rode over to Phil C’s house for our LMC study group meeting. I arrived at Phil’s house and just at the car came to a complete stop the CD display said 13.

We had our meeting and when it was over I drove straight to St. Joseph’s for 1st Friday Adoration. Just as I arrived and the car came to a complete stop the time on the dash switched to 9:13 and at the same instant the odometer switched to 33 and the CD counter flashed 13 simultaneously. I then glanced at my watch and it said XX:XX:33.

I walked in St. Joseph’s and glanced at my watch and it again said XX:XX:33. I prayed before the Blessed Sacrament especially about our recent move here and I also prayed the Glorious and Joyful mysteries of the rosary. When I finished the rosary I felt the sudden sense of peace. I looked at my watch and the time was 10:13. I left and as I walked out the door I again felt the peace. I looked at my watch again and the time was 10:13:59. I had to stop at the store on the way home to get something and when I pulled in my driveway the time on the dash was 10:33.
