The Emmitsburg Dispatch has done a fairly good job in reporting the events pertaining to Our Lady of Emmitsburg. It has reported both sides with what seems to be a somewhat balanced perspective.
Ever since the publication of the six messages part II part III from Our Lady in a recent issue there has been both support and a wave of new attacks from some of the local clergy. It has been known for a couple of weeks now that an attack on the apparitions of Our Lady of Emmitsburg would be published in an upcoming issue of the Emmitsburg Dispatch. So this comes as no real surprise.
In the past when there have been serious attacks on Our Lady’s presence here there have also been extraordinary graces that Our Lady distributes that far outweigh the attacks. I have also noticed that these extraordinary graces coincide perfectly with the attacks and serve to give support when it is most needed. Today was no exception.
The latest issue of the Dispatch came out today and it carried the attack against the apparitions of Our Lady of Emmitsburg as was expected. Despite this not being unexpected it still caused a deep feeling of sadness. Especially when you know everything that is happening up here is true.
Sometimes I have difficulty writing papers such as this one because I realize that what I have to write makes me sound foolish or maybe even worse. But because it is nothing but the truth I have the strength to put what happened today on paper.
I drove to Manassas this morning and went to All Saint’s for mass. I glanced at my watch as I arrived and walked in the door and it said XX:XX:33. Fr. Celinski was the priest. After receiving Holy Communion I was walking back to my pew, the Host was still on my tongue when suddenly I smelled the unmistakable scent of roses that just came from nowhere. I instantly knew it was for strength dealing with the attacks published in today’s Emmitsburg Dispatch. Mass ended and I glanced at my watch as I walked out the door and it said XX:XX:13. The first thing I saw directly in front of me as I left was a car with the license plate of 13.
I knew Our Lady was with me a very special way and it gave me strength. I drove across the street to go to work. Later in the day Frank K called me and he wanted to go to All Saint’s to pray the rosary. We drove there and when we arrived the odometer was 3.3.
As we were walking towards the chapel Frank stopped dead in his tracks and said he was getting hit with rain. I did not feel anything. There was not a cloud in the sky. Frank insisted he felt rain and could not see where it could be coming from. It instantly made me think of the day Ted Szymanski got rained on out of a clear blue sky on October 31, 2000 and also the day it happened to me and Roberta Marziani at the Grotto of Lourdes on September 23, 2001. I did not mention this to Frank.
We walked in the chapel and prayed our rosaries individually and during the rosary I remembered how past attacks against Our Lady of Emmitsburg was accompanied with special graces that let you know She was there. I finished my rosary and glanced at my watch and the time was 1:13.
We walked out of the chapel and while walking back to the car I felt the rain that Frank was talking about as we were walking in. It was exactly what I experienced at the Grotto. Frank did not mention feeling the rain again and I did not mention that it just happened to me. As I felt the rain I knew it was Our Lady and I glanced at my watch and it said XX:XX:13.
We returned to work and I was very busy the rest of the day. I glanced at my watch as I finished all of my work for the day and the time was 5:33. I drove back to Emmitsburg and stopped at St. Joseph’s on my way. I looked at my watch just as the car came to a complete stop and the time was 7:33:13. I said a few prayers and left to go home.
Later when I got home I sat down and wrote today’s events in my daily journal and just as I completed writing I looked at my watch and the time was 10:13.
