Mission of Mercy Is Now Being Attacked

First Friday, Saturday & First Sunday Public Apparition of Our Lady of Emmitsburg

September 2 - 4, 2005

I don’t think anybody around here was to surprised by the new wave of attacks against Our Lady of Emmitsburg that was triggered by the publication of the six messages from Our Lady regarding Emmitsburg in the July 21, August 4 editions of the Emmitsburg Dispatch.

On thing that did come as a surprise to many was the show of support from people around here by their letters to the editor of the Dispatch in support of the apparitions and the good fruits that are so plentiful around here. Because of this it has become very clear to many people that belief and support of the apparitions of Our Lady to Gianna Sullivan is alive and well.

One thing that spoke louder around here than the signed statement published in the Dispatch against the apparitions was the absence of the names of priest around here who were not willing to sign it. Many people took notice of the names that were missing.

Unfortunately, as it becomes increasingly evident that public support of Our Lady’s apparitions are strong and getting stronger, the attacks have been redesigned to include Mission of Mercy.

First Friday September 2nd

I took the day off from work today because my Virginia drivers license is about to expire and I needed to get it switched over to Pennsylvania. S.C.C. needed to get her license switched over too. I was also invited to a 4 PM Mission of Mercy meeting to discuss plans for the 2nd Sunday prayer service now that it has been requested that the mass be discontinued.

S.C.C. and I started the day by going to daily mass at St. Joseph’s. At the instant we arrived we met a car coming from the opposite direction with the license plate of 33. We parked and I glanced at my watch as we walked in the church and the time was 8:33. Fr. O’Malley was the priest and when mass ended we left. As we walked out of the church towards the car we were met by a school bus directly in front of us with the number 13.

We then drove to Gettysburg to get our licenses taken care of but they would not issue me one without an original social security card. It ended up that we had to drive 30 miles to the Social Security office in Chambersburg to get the new card. It was a long drawn out day but we did get our licenses transferred and renewed. It was the last official thing we needed to do as a result of moving here. Despite the aggravations and red tape I knew Our Lady was with us because my Pennsylvania drivers license was issued to me at 2:13.

After getting our licenses S.C.C. and I drove home and S.C.C. went to pick C.R.C. and Peter up at the bus stop. I went to the Mission of Mercy office for the meeting and glanced at my watch as I walked in the door and it said XX:XX:33.

The meeting consisted of Dave L, Richard S and myself in person and Dick B and Bob and Mary P on conference phone. The topic of discussion was the restructure of the 2nd Sunday Mission of Mercy Prayer Service at St. Mary’s without the mass. The 2nd Sunday prayer service at St. Mary’s will continue every 2nd Sunday but without the mass because of limitations being placed on masses for “special interest groups”. When the meeting was over I drove home and arrived at 6:13.

I then got ready to go to Joe F’s house for our LMC study group meeting at 7 PM. When I arrived there I glanced at my watch and it said XX:XX:33. We had our study group and when it was over I rode to St. Joseph’s to pray my daily rosary. First Friday adoration had already begun when I arrived and I prayed the Sorrowful mysteries before the Blessed Sacrament. When I finished glanced at my watch as I was leaving and it said XX:XX:13. I then rode home and when I arrived the odometer was 1.3.

First Saturday September 3rd

I went straight to bed after arriving home and woke up very early in the morning. I drove back to St. Joseph’s and when I arrived the time on the dash as I pulled up to the front of the church and came to a complete stop was 5:13.

I prayed the rosary before the Blessed Sacrament and finished just as Fr. Steve came in for Benediction. After Benediction I drove home and S.C.C. and I got ready to go the 1st Saturday LMC meeting at St. Mary’s. We needed to arrive a little early because it was our turn to set up the breakfast table. We arrived at St. Mary’s and the time was 7:33.

Mass was at 8 AM followed by the rosary. The LMC meeting followed. The meeting ended at 11:13. I spent the rest of the day mowing grass and washing cars.

Sunday September 4th

Several nights ago a person who I had only met once several months ago called me and said he would like to come up from Washington DC to attend the public apparition of Our Lady at the farm. His name is Will and I do not know his last name. He said he would meet me at St. Joseph’s today at 2 PM.

Since there is no longer a 2 PM mass on the first Sunday of each month at St. Joseph’s in Taneytown S.C.C., C.R.C. and myself attended mass at St. Mary’s which is our regular parish. Just as Fr. M____ said the mass was ended I felt the peace. I glanced at my watch and the time was 11:33.

We then went home and I did a few things around the house. The phone rang and it was Phil C. Phil asked me if I would mind taking over his responsibility of finding the five people needed to lead the decades of the rosary during the apparition today. Phil needed to stay home and take care of his wife Aileen who is having back problems. I told Phil that I would take care of it. We hung up and I suddenly felt the peace hit me. It was then I noticed the time was 12:13.

I continued what I was doing and I called my co-worker Frank K who was already driving up here and gave him one of the decades of the rosary. A little later I was wondering who I would get for the other decades and I suddenly knew everything would just fall into place like it always does. It was then I glanced at my watch and the time was 12:33:13.

A little later without paying any attention whatsoever to the time I left to go to St. Joseph’s so I would have time to pray my daily rosary before Will arrived at 2 o’clock. S.C.C. and C.R.C. said they would just meet me at the farm. I drove to St. Joseph’s and when I arrived the time on the dash was 1:33 and the odometer was 13. I glanced at my watch as I walked in the church and it said XX:XX:13.

There was nobody else in the church when I arrived and I just prayed the Luminous mysteries of the rosary. During my prayers I again told God that despite the current obstacles and attacks that I will still continue as long as it is His will. When I finished the rosary I went outside and sat in my car waiting for Will to arrive. Two o’clock came and Will had not shown up. I started to get worried because I needed to be at the farm in time to find four more people to lead the rosary.

Suddenly a pickup truck pulled up beside me and my friend Greg P from Korea was driving. There was a woman with him and Will was also with them. I was only expecting Will. Anyway they were there and I looked at my watch and the time was 2:13.

While we were driving out to the farm I gave Will the 2nd decade of the rosary and I gave Greg the 5th. I had already given Frank K the 4th. After we arrived at the farm I gave Chickie Z the 1st and Dom Forker the 3rd decade. Shortly after I had finished assigning rosary decades Mike Sullivan announced that it was time to begin the prayers. I felt the peace and glanced at my watch and the time was 3:13.

Our Lady came and gave a very powerful message. She appeared to Gianna after the last Hail Mary of the 4th decade while my friend Frank K was leading the rosary. I glanced at my watch as each person I had given a decade to completed there decade and it said XX:XX:13.

When the prayer group ended I led Will and Greg back to St. Joseph’s and I dropped them off. As I pulled out the very instant the car started to move the odometer switched to 3.3. I drove home and at the very instant the car came to a complete stop the CD flashed 13.
