Labor Day September 5, 2005
Over a period of the last year or so St. Joseph’s has been locked every week more than it has been open. The reason for this is because of the much needed construction and renovations that have been taking place. It appears that the work is almost complete and the church looks great.
During this time the only time the church has been open is during the regular Sunday masses. Daily mass and the Monday Night Miraculous Medal Novena have been held in the parish hall for the most part.
I was off from work today because of it being Labor Day and I went to the 8:30 daily mass that was held in the parish hall. Fr. Michael Kennedy was the priest. Since it was a holiday the Monday Night Miraculous Medal Novena was also held in the morning to give the priest the evening off. After mass and the novena ended I glanced at my watch as I walked out of the church and it said XX:XX:13.
I drove home and spent the entire day doing work around the house. I was able to catch up on a lot of things. I spent the entire morning vacuuming hay out of the carpet in the back of my truck from this past July 4th parade. When I finished that I left to go to the car wash. While driving there I was struck with the sudden desire to pray the rosary at St. Joseph’s. I pulled up to St. Joseph’s and the time was 2:33.
I sat in the truck and prayed the Joyful and Sorrowful mysteries and never even considered the possibility of the church being open. Just as I was finishing the Sorrowful mysteries I suddenly felt the urge to go in the church. I glanced at my watch and it said XX:XX:33. I walked up to the front door and was astounded to find the church open. I glanced at my watch as I walked in the church and the time was now 3:13.
I continued the rosary by praying the Glorious mysteries. Just as I was finishing Fr. Steve came walking in and we talked for a few minutes. When I left I glanced at my watch as I walked out of the church and it said XX:XX:13. I got in my car to leave and as I pulled out I met a car with the license plate of 33.
