First Friday, Saturday & Public Apparition of Our Lady of Emmitsburg

June 2 - 4, 2006

This has been a very eventful month. I don't know what else to say about it, when I stop to think about all that has taken place within the past few weeks my mind and heart is just overwhelmed with a special peace that would be impossible to properly describe. There is nothing on this earth that I would want or accept in exchange for my participation in the Thursday Night Prayer Service at St. Joseph's in Emmitsburg. It is truly exciting to see people change their minds and come to the realization that Our Lady is truly present here in Emmitsburg. A priest here in Emmitsburg recently made the statement "God help us if we are wrong" pertaining to the apparitions currently taking place. Good progress is being made as more and more people realize that Our Lady of Emmitsburg is here, and is here to stay.

I got up early this morning because I have the 5-6 am slot for Eucharistic Adoration at the Missionaries House of Study each Friday. The chapel just recently opened and currently runs 24 hours a day, 5 days a week. After 90 days it will change to perpetual adoration. When I arrived this morning I glanced at my watch as I walked in the door and it said XX:XX:33. I spent my hour before The Blessed Sacrament and prayed the Sorrowful mysteries of the rosary. When my hour was complete I left and glanced at my watch as I walked out the door and it said XX:XX:33. As I pulled out of the parking lot the odometer switched to 3.3

I drove to Manassas to go to work and shortly before I arrived I just happened to look in my rearview mirror while sitting at a traffic light. I noticed a woman straining to read my pro-life bumper sticker (1 Abortion = 2 Deaths Your Baby and Your Soul - Do The Math). As I noticed this woman I felt the peace. This is not the first time this same exact thing has happened and at that instant I noticed the time on the dash was 8:13.

I arrived at All Saint's for daily mass and just at the instant I was pulling into the parking lot another car was pulling out with the license plate of 133. Fr. Celinski was the priest and it was the children’s school mass. Mass ended and just as I walked out the door I was again met by another car, directly in front of me with the license plate of 33.

I went to work and was fairly busy most of the morning. Later in the day as the workload allowed I took my lunch break and went back to All Saint's to pray the rosary. When I arrived I glanced at my watch and it said XX:XX:33 and the odometer was 13.3. I prayed the Glorious mysteries of the rosary and went back to work. Later in the day when I got off work I drove back to Emmitsburg and just at the instant I arrived at St. Joseph's I met a car coming from the opposite direction with the license plate of 333.

I sat outside because the church is always locked and prayed the Joyful mysteries of the rosary. A few minutes before I finished the rosary I had a sudden thought crash through my mind over the reality of Our Lady appearing to Gianna Sullivan in our living room on May 13th. My mind flashed back to my earliest days at the Thursday Night Prayer Group. I found it almost to much to believe. At that instant another car came riding up and it had the license plate of 333. I finished the rosary and glanced at my watch and the time was 7:33.

First Saturday

June 3

I went home and went to sleep early on the living room sofa so I could get up and take my 3-4 am adoration slot for First Friday at The Grotto of Lourdes. The alarm clock went off and I left. As I pulled out of my driveway the CD flashed 033. When I got as far as St. Joseph's the odometer was 13.0. I did not stop and drove straight to the Grotto. I spent my hour before the Blessed Sacrament and when my replacement arrived I glanced at my watch as I walked out the door and it said XX:XX:33. I drove back to St. Joseph's on my way home and was delayed by the traffic light remaining red for what seemed like a very long time. When it finally turned green I arrived at St. Joseph's and glanced at my watch and the time was 4:13:00.

After saying a few prayers I left and drove home. I went back to sleep and got up later in the morning to go to our monthly LMC meeting. It began with 8 am mass. Fr. Mike is still not feeling well. I went to Holy Communion and at the instant I returned to my pew I felt the peace hit me. I glanced at my watch and the time was 8:33:00.

The Glorious mysteries of the rosary followed mass and then we had the LMC meeting. At one point during the meeting Phil C made an announcement about the Pilgrim Statue of Our Lady of Fatima coming to St. Mary's on June 16th. At the instant he mentioned that I again felt the peace. I glanced down at my watch and the time was 10:13.

Jeff and Joan B joined our meeting for the first time. They are from Hanover and have been driving to Scranton for their monthly LMC meeting. They have decided to transfer to our group since it is much closer for them. It was a good meeting and it ended and the time was 11:13.

I drove home and just as I arrived my cell phone rang. It was Phil C asking if I could take his place and find the 5 people needed to lead the rosary at the apparition of Our Lady of Emmitsburg tomorrow. I said I could and we hung up. It was at that instant I again felt the peace and looked down and the time on the dash was 11:33.

Later in the day S.C.C., C.R.C. and myself rode out to Karen and Mick Major's farm for the annual Pentecost picnic. It is usually held on Pentecost Sunday but was moved to Saturday this year so it would not conflict with tomorrows apparition of Our Lady. When we arrived the odometer was 1.3.

The picnic was very nice like always. Jeff and Joan B were there and I offered them the 4th decade of the rosary tomorrow at the prayer service. They accepted. Later in the afternoon we had prayers during the picnic and at one point I suddenly felt the peace as people started singing Hail Mary Gentle Woman which was always the opening song at the Thursday Night Prayer Group. It caused a feeling of peace that was so strong I glanced down at my watch and the time was 3:33. The party lasted a long time and when it was over I stayed behind to help clean up. When I finished and left I noticed the time on the dash was 8:33.

I started driving home and had the sudden urge to pray another rosary. When I arrived in Emmitsburg I stopped at St. Joseph's and sat out in the car while I prayed the Luminious mysteries and when I finished I glanced at my watch and the time was 9:13. When I got home Phil C called back saying that he would be able to get the 5 people needed for the rosary. I told him that I had already given the 4th decade to Jeff and Joan..

Sunday

June 4

It is always a very special day when Our Lady comes for the public apparition that is currently taking place at the Lynfield Event Complex. I was still sleeping this morning when S.C.C. woke me up just to ask me the time. I guess she thought I was already awake. Anyway I looked over at the clock and the time was 5:33.

Later in the morning we got ready to go to the 8am mass at St. Mary's. We arrived there and just at the car came to a complete stop the CD flashed 333. Fr. Mike was the priest and announced that today was Deacon Peter DeTomasso's last day at St. Mary's and will be ordained a priest in just 20 more days. At the consecration I felt the peace hit me. I glanced at my watch and it said XX:XX:33. Mass ended and Fr. Mike stopped me and explained the new format of the 2nd Sunday Mission of Mercy Prayer Service and the time was 9:33.

We went home and later in the afternoon S.C.C. said she wanted to take her own car to the apparition of Our Lady today. I left and stopped by St. Peter's books and had a coke before leaving for the apparition myself. When I left there I rode by St. Joseph's on the way. It was a good thing because I completely forgot I told Ray Sanders that I would pick him up there. When I arrived I saw Ray come walking towards my car and get in. As he did I glanced at my watch and it said XX:XX:33 and the CD flashed 133. Ray and I rode to the Lynfield Event Complex and when we arrived the odometer was 3.3.

There were a lot of people already there when we arrived. The parking lot was nearly full. The prayer group starts at 3 pm but Mike Sullivan had a lot of announcements to make. After Mike made all of the announcements the prayer group began. At the instant we started to pray the rosary I felt the peace hit me. I knew to glance down at my watch and the time was 3:33:33.

The prayer group was a full house and more and more people are coming for the first time. Our Lady came after the 8th Hail Mary of the 4th decade while Jeff and Joan were leading the rosary as a couple. The prayer group ended and I was delayed by a man who stopped me requesting prayers for his sister. Her name was Dell Adams and was the wife of Don Adams who played Maxwell Smart on TV back in the 1960's. I then left and Ray and I rode back to Emmitsburg and arrived at St. Joseph's and the time was 6:13. I prayed another rosary in thanks and when I finished I glanced at my watch and the time was 6:33.
