Our Lady of Emmitsburg’s Public Apparition

Sunday May 6, 2007

One of the things that continues to give me the strength I need to continue writing my eye witness accounts of the apparitions of The Blessed Virgin Mary here in Emmitsburg is the way Our Lady coordinates things. Because it is Our Lady doing this everything just falls into perfect place.

After all these years I am still amazed at how everything in my life pertaining to the apparitions is in perfect synchronization with 13, 33 and 333. If this were not happening to me I could not write these papers. Every experience and every resulting paper is different with the common denominator being 13, 33 & 333.

I wish I knew how to better explain what I continue to experience but since I can’t I will have settle for these inadequate papers that can not possibly express the inner joy and peace these experiences have blessed me with. It has not been easy and sometimes I feel tired but I will see this through with the Grace of God. Additionally, as God is my witness every thing I have written is true and that alone is enough for me.

Yesterday Phil C asked me if I could take his place again and line up the 5 people needed to lead the rosary at today’s public apparition of Our Lady. I told Phil I would be happy to do it.

Both S.C.C. and I were scheduled to be Eucharistic Ministers at the 10:30 mass at St. Mary’s this morning. Fr. Peter De’T filled in for Fr. Mike who is still recovering from his back operation. Mass ended and S.C.C. and I completed our Eucharistic Minister duties. I glanced at my watch as we left and it said XX:X:13.

We rode home and later in the day S.C.C., Greg and myself left to go to the public apparition of Our Lady at the Lynfield Event Complex. Greg is still staying with us for a little while longer. As we pulled out I asked Greg if he would like to have one of the decades of the rosary. He said yes. I let Greg select which decade he would like to have and he picked the 5th.

It was then I decided I would assign the decades backwards since Greg had the fifth the next person I offered a decade to would get the fourth and so on. We stopped at St. Peter’s to pick up Ray Sanders.

While we were there I saw Joe Martin. I asked Joe how long it had been since he led a decade of the rosary at the apparitions and he said “It’s been a long time.” I then asked Joe if he would like to have the 4th decade. Joe said yes and at that instant I felt the peace run through me. I glanced down at my watch and the time was 1:13.

We had a coffee and then we left to go help Peter Blanchard set up at the Lynfield. When we got as far as St. Joseph’s we stopped to say a short prayer for today’s apparition. We arrived there and the time was 1:33.

We then drove to the Lynfield and set up all of the equipment. After people started to arrive I gave out the three remaining decades of the rosary to people who never led a decade before during the apparition. When I finished I glanced at my watch because of a sudden out of nowhere thought about Our Lady coming today and it said XX:XX:13.

The format was a little different this month and the rosary got started later than usual. This was because Gianna spoke a few words before she introduced one of her spiritual advisors, Fr. Joseph McCloskey. Fr. Joe spoke for about 15 minutes or so. When he finished speaking Mike Sullivan started the rosary. For some reason during the rosary my mind seemed to wander and I had a hard time remaining focused so when Our Lady appeared it caught me by complete surprise. Our Lady appeared to Gianna and at the instant the apparition began I glanced at my watch and the time was 4:13:59.

Our Lady appeared after the 8th Hail Mary of the 4th decade while Joe Martin was leading the rosary. Remember, Joe received the 4th decade earlier this afternoon at 1:13. The apparition lasted 10 minutes. After the rosary we prayed the Chaplet of Divine Mercy followed by other prayers. Fr. Simon Ingler gave the final blessing. When everything was over I helped clean up. At one point I suddenly felt the peace hit me and I glanced at my watch because of it and the time was 5:13. The same thing happened at 5:33.

A little later I saw S.C.C. and Greg standing by the car ready to leave. I got in the car and we drove back to Emmitsburg and stopped at St. Josephs on the way home. We arrived and the time on the dash was 6:13 and just as I shut the car off the CD flashed 133. We all sat out in the car prayed the Glorious mysteries in thanksgiving for another wonderful day. I glanced at my watch as we finished and kissed the crucifix and the time was 6:33:13. I started the car to leave and the time on the dash was 6:33 and the CD flashed 133.
