Dr. Courtenay Bartholomew Speaks at The Public Apparition of Our Lady

Many witness the Miracle of The Sun

Sunday October 7, 2007

Today is the public apparition of Our Lady of Emmitsburg. I suspected something special was going to happen today because of the way the day started at St. Mary’s in Fairfield. This morning was simply another one of those moments that no human on earth could have caused to happen.

S.C.C. and I were scheduled to be Eucharistic Ministers at the 10:30 mass at St. Mary’s. We all got in the car to go to mass and as we left I glanced at my watch and the time was 10:13.

We arrived and whoever was scheduled to be lector did not show up. Just before we lined up to process in the church Dorothy B asked Fr. Mike who we were going to get as a lector. Fr. Mike simply said “Somehow it will work out.” Mass began and Fr. Mike asked for a volunteer lector. Gianna Sullivan volunteered and filled the vacant slot. The time was 10:33.

I was stunned when it came time for the first reading (and I think Gianna was too) when the reading was so strikingly similar to the events pertaining to Gianna and the apparitions of Our Lady of Emmitsburg. The readings were Habakkuk 1:2-3 - 2:2-4 which read:

O LORD, how long shall I cry for help, and thou wilt not hear? Or cry to thee "Violence!" and thou wilt not save? Why dost thou make me see wrongs and look upon trouble? Destruction and violence are before me; strife and contention arise.

And the LORD answered me: "Write the vision; make it plain upon tablets, so he may run who reads it. For still the vision awaits its time; it hastens to the end -- it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come, it will not delay. Behold, he whose soul is not upright in him shall fail, but the righteous shall live by his faith.

Of all people (Gianna) to just fall into this reading through circumstances beyond her control and for it to be so precisely tuned to the events in Emmitsburg was simply amazing and lots of people picked up on it. Mass continued and at the instant Fr. Mike raised the chalice of Precious Blood I felt the peace and glanced at my watch. The time was 11:13. Mass ended and the time was 11:33.

S.C.C. and I completed our Eucharistic Minister duties and left to go home. A little later we left to go to today’s public apparition of Our Lady at the Lynfield Event Complex. I needed to get there a little early to help set things up for Courtenay Bartholomew’s talk. I arrived and glanced at my watch as I walked in the door and the time was 1:33:13.

We set everything up and made sure everything was ready for Courtenay’s talk after the apparition. Mike Sullivan made all of the announcements and then the prayer group began and the time was 3:13.

When the rosary began I glanced at my watch and it said XX:XX:33. Our Lady came during the fourth decade and spoke mainly about the value of human life. When the rosary ended I glanced at my watch and it said XX:XX:13.

We then prayed the Chaplet of Divine Mercy and then Fr. Joseph McCloskey led the Divine Praises. When the prayer group ended Mike Sullivan introduced Dr. Courtenay Bartholomew who spoke for almost and hour on Marian apparitions around the world. He tied them all together in a way that made perfect sense.

It was my job to run the computer that Courtenay had his Power Point presentation on. Almost instantly after Courtenay began to speak I noticed a gold halo of light surrounding the head of the statue of Our Lady of Fatima that was behind him. It was so beautiful I knew to glance at my watch and it said XX:XX:13.

When the talk was over I was helping take down all of the equipment. Suddenly I felt a strong feeling of peace, again I knew to glance at my watch and the time was 6:13.

A few minutes later there was a mild commotion caused by many people outside seeing the sun spin and change to many different colors. My first thought was that it was nothing more than a few people thinking they saw it happen. But later I realized that many people saw it and some of them I personally know would not even be capable of exaggerating what they saw. These were responsible, level headed people. I personally did not see it ( like I did on Feb 10, 2001) but I have no doubt that it actually happened.

When we finished cleaning everything up I left to go home. I did stop by St. Joseph’s to say a prayer and when I arrived there was a parked car there with the license plate of 33. I drove home and just as I pulled in my driveway the odometer switched to 13.
