It is because of these failed attempts to destroy this gift from God that many people are realizing it truly is a gift from God and therefore the prayer group continues and will continue to grow.
S.C.C. and I both went to the 10:30 mass this morning at St. Mary’s. C.R.C. went to mass last night. We got in the car to leave for mass and when I started it the time on the dash was 10:13. We arrived at St. Mary’s and Fr. ______ was the priest. Gianna Sullivan was the lector. Mass ended and I glanced at my watch and the time was 11:33.
S.C.C. and I left and stopped by Dolly K’s house to help her set up a Nativity set in her front yard while it was raining. Dolly needs help because her husband Steve died about 2 years ago. After setting up the nativity set we drove home and arrived at 12:13.
S.C.C. and I then got ready to go to today’s public apparition of Our Lady at the Lynfield Event Complex. We stopped first at St. Peter’s book store to pick up some books with Our Lady’s messages that were going to be sold there.
The weather was very bad. It had been sleeting most of the morning but by now it was just a cold, sloppy rain. S.C.C. and I rode to the Lynfield and Mary L rode with us because she did not want to drive. We arrived at the Lynfield and like always I helped set up all of the equipment. At one point while I was settings things up I just glanced at my watch and the time was 2:33.
The prayer group began shortly after 3 pm. It was the smallest crowd ever. I would say only about 350 people showed up. That is about half of what I would call normal. Mike Sullivan made the announcements and said the theme today was joy. He said Our Lady first appeared to Gianna in Scottsdale under the title of Our Lady of Joy. He then said the word joy appears in the Douhey Reames version of the bible 333 times.
Mike then invited a young girl named Faith to come up and begin the formal prayer with the Litany of Our Lady. The prayer began and the time was 3:33.
The rosary followed and for the first time ever Our Lady appeared during the 2nd decade of the rosary and Pat C was leading at that time. After the rosary Jim O’Brien led the Chaplet of Divine Mercy. Fr. Kiernan Kavanaugh led the Divine Praises and Fr. Joe McCloskey gave the final blessing. I helped clean up after the prayer group ended and then drove back to Emmitsburg and arrived back at St. Joseph’s at 6:13.
