Prayers for C.R.C. and his Discernment of the Priesthood and the Intercession of

Blessed Stanley Rother

Thursday March 28 - Sunday March 31, 2019

C.R.C. has been working at the Grotto of Lourdes in Emmitsburg for nearly two years now. He likes it very much. During much of this time he has been discerning a vocation to the Holy Priesthood. He has been in talks with several priest and had regular meetings with them regarding this discernment. It is not something he takes lightly as his discernment process has been a thorough one. I believe he is nearing his final decision soon. C.R.C. has a level, balanced head on his shoulders and I believe he will do God’s Will above everything and anything else.

I am convinced that any man considering the priesthood will experience demonic attacks aimed at dissuading them from the priesthood. I am also convinced that God allows these attacks but at the same time provides protection through the intercession of His saints, Guardian Angles and most importantly His Mother, The Immaculate Conception.

I will now do my best to relay the experiences of this past Thursday March 28th and Sunday March 31st.

Thursday March 28, 2019

I started the day by attending mass at <Home Parish> in <Hometown>. I then had to drive to New Market, Virginia to do a notary signing. After completing the signing and returning back to <Hometown> I decided that I would go metal detecting for the last few hours of daylight. I returned to a patch of Civil War bullets I found earlier in the week at Byrd Inskeep’s field on Old Orange Road in <Hometown>. The patch of bullets produced about another 4 or 5 bullets and that was it. I then wandered off in another direction and got what sounded like another bullet signal. I dug the bullet and while I was still kneeling on the ground from digging the bullet I was suddenly struck with a CRASHING thought of C.R.C. and the priesthood. It came out of nowhere.

I then, still kneeling on the ground from digging the bullet instantly went into prayer for C.R.C.. My prayer went just like this: God if You want C.R.C. to become a priest, that is my prayer to you. I ask for the intercession of Mary - The Immaculate Conception your mother, I also ask for the intercession of St. Joseph, St. Therese of Lisieux, St. Maximillian Kolby. I then wanted to include Bl. Stanley Rother but no matter how hard I tried I could not think of his name. I tried and tried and was about to give up and just say “God You know who I am trying to think of” and leave it at that. When SUDDENLY his name came CRASHING into my prayer with crystal clarity and my prayer for C.R.C. was concluded. I glanced at my watch and the time was 5:33:33.

At this point I was left stunned and almost feeling numb. Still kneeling on the ground I just simply said to God, Thank You, Thank You, Thank You. I then went back to metal detecting and found no more bullets.

I was sitting at the kitchen table this evening and very suddenly I felt the call to go to Emmitsburg tomorrow. I looked up and the time on the kitchen clock was 7:33.

Sunday March 31, 2019

As I was having coffee this morning with S.C.C. I again had a very sudden and unexpected thought of going to Emmitsburg today. It was exactly like the one 12 hours earlier. I looked up at the kitchen clock and again it was 7:33.

I drove to <Home Parish> and dropped S.C.C. off at her mom’s house. When I arrived the odometer was 3.3. I attended the 8:30 mass and Fr. K.W. was the celebrant. It came time to receive Holy Communion and I received it at 9:33.

After mass I drove to <Local> Catholic School to teach my 5th grade CCD class. I thought the class went well and when it was over I glanced at my watch and it said XX:XX:13 (13 seconds). I then pulled out to leave for my trip to Emmitsburg and when I did I noticed the time on the dash was 11:13.

I drove to Emmitsburg and stopped first at St. Joseph’s. When I arrived there the time on the dash was 1:33 and I glanced at my watch and it said 1:33:59. I sat in the car and prayed both the Joyful and Sorrowful mysteries. For the last decade I walked around the locked church. I glanced at my watch as I finished and kissed the crucifix and the corner of the church and the time was 2:13.

I then sent C.R.C. a text telling him I was in town. I then drove to the Grotto  and walked directly to the statue of Our Lady of Fatima. I glanced at my watch as I arrived and the time was 2:33.

I started praying the Glorious mysteries and had just finished the 3rd decade when C.R.C. came walking up. We talked for a while and I told him what happened this past Thursday at 5:33:33. He then told me he had been praying to Bl. Stanley Rother. C.R.C. also told me that he had experienced a bad week. He said he felt attacked by dark forces that left him uncomfortable. C.R.C. said he had time to pray a Chaplet of Divine Mercy before he had to return to work, so we did. As he was leaving to go back to work he told me that there was a copy of the book In Sinue Jesu at the front desk for me. After I finished the rosary I decided to save the Luminous Mysteries for after I get home with S.C.C.. I then walked to the front desk and picked up the In Sinue Jesu book and as it was handed to me I noticed my watch said 3:33:13. I then drove home and S.C.C. and I completed the rosary for C.R.C. by praying the Luminous Mysteries. I glanced at my watch as we began and it was 6:13:33. I glanced again as we finished and the time was 6:33:33.
