Fr. James Bruse

I have known about the mystical events that surrounded Fr. James Bruse back in the early parts of the 1990’s but not to any great extent. Basically all I knew is that statues of Our Lady and Jesus would “tear” in his presence and that he bore the stigmata. I was never aware of any of the details surrounding these events. I was aware that he stopped at <Home Parish> when these events were taking place and the crucifix in the foyer of the church wept tears in the presence of Fr. L__ ________. I was also aware that it made the front page of the <Home Town Newspaper> within the next few days to the distress of Fr. L__. That newspaper article was just about all I knew about this. Now years later it has surfaced again as I am about to describe.

Sunday October 11, 2020

Today is the 2nd Sunday Prayer Group at St. Mary’s in Fairfield, PA. It is the last remaining remnant of the Thursday Night Prayer Group at St. Joseph’s where Our Lady appeared from 1993 to 2000. I was at the prayer group today and after it was over J__ and C____ L____ came up and started talking to me. C____l asked if I knew anything about Fr. James Bruse. I told C____ that he is the pastor of Our Lady of The B___ R____ in M______, Virginia and that I attend mass there from time to time. She asked if I was aware of the stigmata and crying statues associated with him. I told C____ and J__ that I was aware but did not know any details. They said they had a book they would loan me titled “The Seton Miracles Weeping Statues and Other Wonders”. I told them I would like to read it.

At the following months prayer group J__ and C____ walked up to me and loaned me the book they told me about last month. I thanked them and promised to return it next month. The prayer group ended and I walked out of the church with the book in my hand. As I was leaving I looked up and a car was pulling out directly in my line of sight with the license plate of 333.

Wednesday December 16, 2020

This evening I sat down for the first time and read nearly half of the book about Fr. James Bruse. Reading the book gave me a strong feeling of peace and the author did a very good job describing the events. I almost felt like I was there while reading it. Suddenly at one point I came to the entry describing the events of May 13, 1993 when Fr. Bruse stopped by <Home Parish> in <Home Town>. While there the crucifix in the foyer cried puddles of water on the floor in front of many witnesses including Fr. ___. I was not there. Then suddenly as I was reading this I was stunned as I realized this happened on May 13, 1993 and it was also May 13, 2006 a Fatima Feast when Our Lady appeared to Gianna Sullivan in our living room. As I realized it was the same date I instantly associated the events as being somehow associated. With this thought I glanced at my watch and the seconds were 33.

Sunday December 27, 2020

Today I had the sudden urge to pray the rosary. With no regard for the time I sat down and began the Joyful Mysteries and the time was 4:33. I also prayed the Sorrowful and Glorious Mysteries and glanced at my watch as I finished and kissed the crucifix and the time was 5:33. I then noticed the book “The Seton Miracles” sitting on the table and I picked it up and continued reading where I left off back on December 16th. I finished the book and as I read the last word I glanced at my watch and the time was 7:33:33.
